The PRINCE2 Portfolio Management Foundation & Practitioner will cover a range of topics, including:

Understand the scope, objectives and benefits of portfolio management and how it differs from project and programme management
The implementation and methods for evaluating successful portfolio management across the organisation
The purpose of portfolio management definition and delivery cycles, their core practices, and relevant techniques for each
Evaluate and interpret MoP information, including key documents and role descriptions
Analyse and assess solutions applied to specific scenarios to ensure alignment with portfolio objectives

Examination Information

Both Management of Portfolios Foundation and Practitioner qualifications are assessed by online, multiple-choice examinations.

The PRINCE2 Portfolio Management foundation assessment consists of a 40-minute 50 multiple-choice question online exam and is closed book. The pass mark is 50%.

The PRINCE2 Portfolio Management Practitioner assessment consists of a 3-hour, 80 multiple choice question online exam and is open book. The pass mark is 50%.

Complete the full PRINCE2 certification pathway and you could achieve PRINCE2 Master.

Timetable and Study Options

The PRINCE2 Portfolio Management Practitioner can be studied in two different ways: Virtual Classes and Face to Face Classes.

Virtual Classes run over 5 days, live online from 9am – 4.30pm. These classes enable you to engage with our expert trainers and fellow classmates in real-time.

Face to Face Classes run over 5 days from 9am – 5pm. These in-person, interactive classes, take place across our wide range of UK Venues.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for undertaking the PRINCE2 Portfolio Management Foundation qualification.

In order to study the PRINCE2 Portfolio Management Practitioner, you must have first completed and passed the Foundation. The PRINCE2 Portfolio Management Practitioner is relevant to all those involved in the selection and delivery of business change initiatives. This includes members of Management Boards and Directors of Change, Senior Responsible Owners (SROs), portfolio, programme, project, business change, and benefits managers, as well as business case writers and project appraisers.
