The PRINCE2® Programme Management Practitioner enables programme and project managers to deliver large-scale and complex programmes by applying the MSP framework. In order to complete the Practitioner qualification, you must have first passed the MSP Foundation level exam.

The PRINCE2® Programme Management Practitioner certification provides an in-depth understanding of the MSP framework, including advanced topics such as, programme governance, benefits realisation, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

Once you complete the course, you will be equipped with a range of practical techniques for managing programmes effectively, such as planning and control, monitoring and review, and benefits management.

The PRINCE2® Programme Management Practitioner provides an advanced understanding of the MSP framework for programme management:

How to apply the MSP principles in context: Analyse the use of MSP principles in context, including how to lead with purpose, how to deal with ambiguity, how to align with priorities, and how to realise measurable benefits.
How to utilise and tailor the MSP themes in context: Explore the component parts of the programme plans and strategy, and learn how to apply the PDCA cycle. You will learn the key benefits of each theme, as well as the key documents required to support it within an organisational environment.
How to apply and tailor relevant MSP processes in context: Learn and execute the fundamental MSP processes including documents and roles and understand approaches for assurance, decision-making, and risk response. You will evaluate process efficacy, considering the programme environment and MSP principles

Examination Information

To gain the full PRINCE2® Programme Management Practitioner qualification you must complete one examination.

The exam consists of 70 questions, it is open book, with a duration of 2.5 hours and is taken online. The pass mark is 60%.

Complete the full PRINCE2 certification pathway and you could achieve PRINCE2 Master.

Timetable and Study Options

The MSP Practitioner can be studied in three different ways: Distance Learning, Virtual Classes, and Face to Face Classes.

Distance Learning involves independent, self-paced study. You’ll have access to our online learning platform, allowing you to work through the resources in your own time, at your own pace.

Virtual Classes run over 2 days, live online from 9am – 4.30pm. These classes enable you to engage with our expert trainers and fellow classmates in real-time.

Face to Face Classes run over 2 days from 9am – 4.30pm. These in-person, interactive classes, take place across our wide range of UK study venues.
