Sarah Fitton graduated with a Combined Honours degree in French and Business Administration from Aston University and spent much of her career in business change where she held a number of senior management positions in a variety of large blue-chip global companies crossing a range of different sectors including financial services, utilities and law.
A career pivot prompted Sarah to undertake the L7 Diploma in Senior People Management following which she was invited back to her college to teach new students and so her lecturing career began! She has now been a Human Resources Lecturer since 2021, designing, delivering, and assessing CIPD courses from level 3 through to 7. She also delivers on a range of apprenticeship programmes helping to coach students to success with their End Point Assessments and is a Student Lead on the committee of her local CIPD branch.
Having made the switch from mature student to lecturer and coach, Sarah prides herself on her concern for the learner experience. She is hugely passionate about the application of learning back into the workplace and bringing subjects to life within her classes and material design.
Sarah is also a CCS-licensed career coach, and provides career coaching and job seeker mentoring to help individuals to find a career that they love.
Outside of work, she is a keen cook and quiz enthusiast and once appeared on The Weakest Link!
